María del Rocío is an Agroindustrial Engineer with a Master’s in Soil Science and a Diploma in Tropical Agroecology. She has been a University Professor and Researcher, as well as a trainer in agroecology, organic agriculture, organic fertilizer evaluation, and Analog Forestry. She participated in the creation and coordination of the Bachelor’s Degree in Agroecological Engineering and the Organic Agriculture Research Center at the Autonomous University of Chapingo in Mexico. She served as the technical secretary of the Environmental Program at Chapingo University and participates in the coordination of the Agroecological Movement of Latin America and the Caribbean (MAELA).
