About Purevdash Dudlii
Purevdash Dudlii is a forest engineer with a Master’s degree in Technical Sciences, specializing in participatory forest management. She has worked in government institutions for 20 years, participated in international projects for 17 years, and contributed to civil society organizations for 12 years.
She has led initiatives such as restoring 500 hectares of forest damaged by wildfire and overharvesting, funded by the state budget. As a resident of Khuvsgul province, she has propagated and supplied over 230,000 ornamental, landscaping, and fruit trees across 23 soums over the past 20 years.
Purevdash collaborates with herder communities near forest areas, providing training on income generation from forest resources and climate adaptation. Her efforts have improved community attitudes and influenced policy, including revisions to two regulations and three procedural guidelines.
She also works on the “Water Conservation and Proper Usage” project, conducting trainings and promoting water-saving practices with government and community partners. As a member of the IAFN trainer network, she actively promotes Analog Forestry and community-based environmental education.
